I’ve been a full-time wedding photographer since 2015, and as you may have read in my bio, my journey began in Italy, where I had the opportunity to work with one of the most established wedding photography studios in Milan. That experience shaped not only my technical skills but also my eye for elegance, storytelling, and attention to detail. When I moved to Colorado in 2019, I knew I was starting a new chapter as a Denver Wedding Photographer and I felt a strong desire to rebuild my portfolio in a way that truly reflected my vision.
Styled shoots have always been an important part of that process. They are not just about images, they are a way to express creativity, explore new ideas, and show couples what a photographer is truly capable of. Through them, you can really understand a photographer’s style, their sensitivity to light, and how they tell a story.
This particular shoot was my very first wedding inspiration session in Denver. My goal was simple but meaningful: to create something timeless and elegant, focusing on the quiet beauty of the getting ready moments and the connection between the bride and groom. I wanted to capture intimacy, softness, and that sense of anticipation that makes a wedding day so special.
At the same time, I didn’t want it to feel too traditional. Toward the end, I introduced a different energy, a subtle shift into something more modern, with a touch of rock and an after-party feeling. I love this contrast because it reflects real weddings: they are not just one emotion, but a mix of elegance, joy, excitement, and celebration.
I shot everything using natural light, which has always been at the heart of my work. I used my Canon 6D paired with a Sigma 24–105mm and a Sigma 12–24mm lens. These two lenses allowed me to explore very different perspectives—from intimate, close-up moments to wider, more dynamic compositions. I love playing with perspective because it helps me tell the story in a more complete and artistic way.
Looking back, this shoot represents the beginning of my journey here in Colorado—a moment where I was rediscovering my voice while staying true to who I am as a photographer. It’s a blend of my Italian roots and my evolving style, and it still feels very close to my heart.
