Upon arriving from Italy, when I heard for the first time about Senior photo sessions, I didn’t understand what it was all about.

Who were these Seniors? Older people?

Then a friend of mine explained to me: “Here, in America, teenagers in their last year of High school or students in the last year of College like to celebrate with a photo session to immortalize this amazing moment of their lives. So, during the Spring, they usually book photo services. You should start to do that.”

I immediately though: “This is a wonderful idea!!! In Italy we don’t do that! I can’t wait to celebrate and have fun with them!!”. So, I started!

I can perfectly remember my last year in high school. It felt like a new chapter of my life was coming and I was leaving the younger version of me with nostalgic because I knew that everything was going to change. I was excited, going to start college and felt more independent, brave and motived, and adult too. New adventures ahead, new friends and new experiences. 

I have only one photo of my whole class but not a personal photo session. It’s a shame! I celebrated the end of high school during the hottest summer ever, in 2003, traveled in Greece with a friend. Then a lot of funny and crazy things when I came back home. I made a huuuuge group of friends in that time.  

It was one of the most beautiful summers of my life. 

Now, when I take senior portraits, I can feel again those feelings through my subjects and it’s really emotional and fun!!! 

Do I sound old? Anyway, it’s amazing! I really love to do this senior photo sessions!
