Hi, I’m Laura, a family photographer with over 14 years of experience, and I specialize in creating San Diego family photos that feel natural, elegant, and truly you. My approach is simple and relaxed—I gently guide you while allowing your family’s real connection to unfold, so your images feel effortless and full of life.
If you’re thinking about planning your San Diego family photos, you might be wondering where to start. The location, the outfits, the timing… it can quickly feel overwhelming. But the truth is, the most beautiful images are often the simplest. With the right light, a meaningful location, and a calm, thoughtful approach, your session can feel easy and enjoyable—resulting in photographs that reflect your family in the most genuine and timeless way.

San Diego is known for its beautiful light, but timing makes all the difference.
The best time for family photography in San Diego is:
Early morning (soft, calm light)
Sunset (warm, golden tones)
These moments create that soft, timeless look that feels natural and flattering.
Midday light tends to be stronger and less forgiving, so choosing the right time is key to achieving that effortless, refined feeling.

One of the most common questions I receive is: where should we take our photos?
The good news is, San Diego offers so many beautiful and easy-to-access locations.
Some of the best options include:
San Diego beaches (La Jolla, , Torrey Pines, Coronado, Del Mar)
Balboa Park for a more classic and elegant setting
Quiet coastal paths with open space and soft light
You don’t need anything complicated.
The most meaningful images come from places where your family can move naturally and feel at ease.
Choosing what to wear is often the most stressful part—but it doesn’t have to be.
For a timeless and elevated look:
Choose soft, neutral tones (creams, whites, light blues, earthy tones)
Wear light, breathable fabrics that move naturally
Keep outfits simple and coordinated, not matching
This creates a clean and cohesive look that allows the focus to stay on your connection.

If you’re searching for a San Diego family photographer, you may also be wondering what the experience will feel like.
My approach is always natural and guided.
There is no pressure to pose perfectly.
Instead, I gently guide you into moments that feel real, so your photos reflect your family as you truly are. But I also always take that ones photos where everybody are looking at the camera because we all wants those too.
This is what creates images that feel timeless, emotional, and meaningful.
Family photos are not just for today.
They are for the years from now, when your children will look back and see:
how you held them
how you looked at them
how it felt to be together
And often, the most important part is simply this—
that you were in the photos too.
I offer family photography sessions in San Diego focused on natural light, simplicity, and genuine connection.

Hi, I’m Laura, a wedding and portrait photographer with over 14 years of experience and a love for capturing genuine, natural moments. My journey started in Italy, where I worked with one of the most established wedding photography studios in Milan. That experience shaped my eye for light, emotion, and timeless beauty. In 2019, I moved to Colorado and rebuilt my business from the ground up, continuing to follow what I love most, telling stories through honest, elegant images that truly reflect each family.
My approach is simple and relaxed. I gently guide you and let your connection unfold naturally, so your photos feel real, effortless, and full of meaning.
Outside of photography, I enjoy the little things that make life feel full: cooking and baking at home, a cappuccino with a good book, and slow mornings, especially a walk by the beach. I love traveling with my husband and daughter, being Italian I love good food, enjoying an Aperol spritz, and spending long evenings with close friends and a glass of wine. I love spend time creating art with my daughter and watching her grow day by day fills my heart.
